| Alghanim International entered in to power sector during the 1980’s as a fabrication and erection contractor. In the year of 2003, Alghanim International was the partner of a consortium led by M/s. Siemens A/G who was awarded the EPC contract for 1000 MW gas turbine plant at Az-Zour South, Kuwait. In 2007, Alghanim International was awarded the EPC contract for 300 MW ISO emergency power plant at Shuwaikh, Kuwait. With recognition of its ability to handle projects with international standards Alghanim International bagged subsequent power projects in the state and has made its mark in the state of Kuwait as the leading EPC contractor for Power Projects. By the year 2010 Alghanim International has in its credit an installed capacity of nearly 3100 MW of power generation - which is over 26% of Kuwait’s installed capacity. |
